AbstractMore and more consumer applications are powered using wireless power transfer (WPT) technology. This paper proposes a low cost WPT system for consumer applications that require bi-directional power flow. The proposed system uses two switches to regulate the wireless power flow in both directions. A mathematical model is presented, describing the different modes of operation of the WPT system. To validate the applicability of the proposed concept, both simulated and measured results are presented.
