Abstract

In this paper, we argue that a strategy based on achieving repeated small-wins can lead to big performance improvement. We discuss cases studies of two companies that have employed this strategy to achieve superior performance with respect to metrics such as market share and stock prices. We identify the importance of an appropriate organizational context for successful implementation of a small-wins based strategy, and propose an action agenda for firms that wish to devise their own small-wins based strategy.
