AbstractAn efficient algorithm for reconstructing all polyhedral 3D solid models from 2D orthographic projections is addressed. The algorithm can handle pathological cases and identify all possible correct solutions efficiently. The algorithm has efficient techniques for constructing candidate wireframes, handling broken lines in the input data, generating face loops, determining cutting edges and vertices, building body loops, and assembling body loops into candidate objects. Several symmetric and complex orthographic projections are given to show the completeness of the algorithm. © 1994.
